Roses and Fruit trees

While i have been pruning the dead roses of our rose bushes i picked a lovely bunch of iceberg roses and popped them in a vase on my coffee table.
For the first time since we have planted our friut trees we are going to have some fruit to eat this year, look at these lovely nectarines.
The only thing was the birds are also waiting for them to  ripen,so hubby has covered them so hopefully this will keep the birds out.
cheers shez xx

  3. Oh gosh - such lovely roses - I can't wait for our roses to bloom again. We always had to cover our cherry trees or the birds got them all. Out neighbors always called us thinking their was a fire in the orchard - and then we would have to re-explain it was the shimmer of the tree covers they were seeing.

  10. Love your roses Shez, and that fruit looks lovely! We planted apple trees last winter, and I see I have 1 precious apple growing, so it will be very closely guarded.... I didn't expect anything this first year though......

  18. The roses are beautiful. I have a couple of mango trees and can't get one because of birds. Looks like your hubby has come up with a great cover to stop them. The fruit looks yummy. Hugs....
